We woke up early and had our buffet breakfast in the hotel where we stayed for overnight. The taste of the Cambodian food is very new to most of us.

After our breakfast, we met Tita Laurence's friend Alain Montane and left for Battambang by bus.

Everybody was so excited. The travel time going to Battambang is quite long (3-4 hrs drive). But we stopped to have lunch with the children and staff of "Infants del Mon" orphanage. We were welcomed by the Director Kimnea and the dance teacher. Their beneficiaries are both boys and girls aged 8-19. They are orphans and some of them are siblings of 2 or 3.

We offered a dance number and two pyramids and they showed us their cultural dance. We danced and laughed altogether.

We stayed for awhile to play basketball and volleyball under the heat of the sun. It was very hot yet the fun we had was immeasurable. After we visited their center, classrooms, dormitories, library, art room and kitchen.

"Today, I have many realizations: my co-girls and I are very much lucky being in CAMELEON. Our visit in the orphanage opened my eyes not to waste every opportunity that CAMELEON is giving me. I saw the big difference between our situation and theirs. For example, we are sleeping in a comfortable bed with good ventilation while they are sleeping on wooden bed without foam and no electric fan. We also have big gym in the center to play different sports and circus while they have wide and dusty playground. "- Romalyn

" I feel so lucky because we are well-provided. I realized that I need to appreciate and take good care of the things around us. I am happy because I was able to learn their dance movements and eat their food."- Lyndie

We left their place with a grateful and happy heart knowing that we are fortunate enough to be in CAMELEON.

We continued traveling and finally arrived in Battambang. We will be staying for the next 15 days in the Coconut House hotel.

Basketball time!
